Lockage and navigation

Saint-Ours Canal National Historic Site

Canada's waterways offer a fascinating navigation experience and many opportunities for discovery. Come aboard and enjoy sailing the historic canals of Parks Canada!

Here are some tools to help you plan your visit at the Saint-Ours Canal.

A day or a night at the Saint-Ours Canal

Admire the beauty and charm of the Richelieu on your next visit to the region! Want to spend the night? Moor at the docks of the Saint-Ours canal lock and enjoy the verdant surroundings of this national historic site.

Because of fixed bridges and overhead power lines, vessels with masts exceeding 8 meters must unmast at Saint-Paul-de-l'Île-aux-Noix located upstream or at Sorel located downstream of the Saint-Ours Canal.
