Parks Canada invests more than $50 million over five years in the Chambly Canal National Historic Site. This major investment will make it possible to upgrade numerous structural elements of the waterway, improve the user experience for the 200,000-plus people who visit the site each year, and protect this exceptional heritage site for current and future generations to enjoy.

Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu

Notice to users: Parks Canada will cut down three trees and prune 22 others located near the Chambly Canal path, along the Richelieu River. This work will result in partial closure of the path on the section between lock No. 9 and the Halte des moulins Langelier on Monday, March 18, and between the Halte des moulins Langelier and bridge no. 10 from Tuesday to Friday (March 19 to 23). Heavy machinery will be operating on the path. During the work, please obey the signs and avoid the area.
